SOLVED: Unwanted Facebook Texts

If you are receiving texts on your phone that look something like:

There are 9 people you may know on Facebook. Send them friend requests: http://fb.me/…

and you don’t want these messages:

1. log into your FaceBook account
2. go into your account settings
3. set TEXT NOTIFICATIONS ARE set to OFF
